Default Peripherals and Insight - Mileage drop?

So I'm planning a road trip with my brother and sister-in-law for the final Shuttle Launch, and we all have our cell phones and, of course, we all want them powered, but I'm curious, will leaving peripherals plugged in lower the mileage on the Insight?

From my understanding (which, admittedly, is extremely limited), the Insight does not use an alternator to power the electrical systems in the car, but rather a DC-AC-DC conversion that creates the power for the cabin electrical units (radio, power port, usb port, etc). Therefore my logical assessment would be that devices charging off of an Insight could lower the MPG at least to some degree. Wondering if anyone here has any knowledge on the topic.

I wouldn't worry about it. The amperage draw will be minimum.
