Question Moving - Is there a way to secure rear hatchback door w/ rope w/o closing it?

Newbie here (hey everyone!) -

i'm moving and have a chair that fits inside the 2nd gen insight with the rear seats pulled down; however, i can't close the hatchback/rear door completely.

i was wondering if anyone knew of any creative ideas on how to tie/secure the rear window? is there a latch/hook somewhere that i could potentially use a thin rope to secure it down.

let me know, i'd be forever grateful.

what i don't want to do:

I would look into options using a bungee cord.

Welcome aboard.

You can put a rope through the lock/latch or hook it on the grab handle on the inside of the door.
