Default Is The Insight Made For Tall People?

I've decided to get a car with good mpg and I've looked at priuses but they are ugly. However I love the insight so when our local dealer gets one I'm going to test drive one but before I do can I get some input by tall people like me. I'm 6'4 would I be able to fit in this?

I think you'll do just fine. You won't fit in the back, but I'm 6'2" and can wear a ballcap in the front seat without coming close to the roof. Keep in mind the EX model has a vertically adjusting seat.

The base model also has a vertically adjusting seat.

I don't find that either the Prius or the insight are good looking. But then again, what do you expect from a car whose main purpose is fuel efficiency! My white one looks like an egg!

I am 6'-3" and I fit just fine. I can wear a cap too and I don't hit the roof. It is a little tricky getting in and out but once I am in I have plenty of leg room.

A black insight is pretty darn sexy. The blue of the headlamp housing screams "look at me" when the car is black. However, my Zaino'd gray Insight looks pretty badass when I can keep its nose free of bugs and dust off it which is short of impossible at the moment.

Did I mention bugs? If you live anywhere that has a good amount of bugs, the nose of your Insight will be a bug-collector. Never seen so many bugs before on the front of a car. It's simply amazing. I can't drive it anywhere without getting back and seeing about 5 new bugs showing up on the front bumper. After a couple weeks, well, there's a whole lot of'em.

I have to scrub like nuts during wash-time to get them off.

Back to on-topic, stay out of the rear seats and you should be fine. Still, I've had people your height in the rear and they didn't complain. *shrug* Depends on someone looking for something to complain about, I guess.

I would take a lot of these comments with a grain of salt. When I had a Miata, people who were 6'4" were claiming that they were very comfortable in the car (in reality, their knees were almost in their chests). I really don't think the Insight is that small inside, but you really need to go see for yourself and go for a test drive.

yep i can sign this .... due to those big middle panels of most other cars the Insight is very pleasant for tall people.... only thing i wish is a heightadjustable co-driver seat and electr. controls with memory for 3 diverse settings

I am 6'1" tall. Fit very comfortably in the drivers seat. The passengers seat leg room is not as nice. I don't like to be on that side for very long. Wish the pass. seat slid rearward a little further.
