Default Interior light question

Dumb question but I am pretty sure my intertior lights used to energize when I opened the door - my son was recently playing in the car pushing all types of buttons and now the over head lights only energize if I push them.
Arent the lights supposed to come on when the door is opened? Is there a switch somewhere?
Thanks
Tim

Is there a dome light on your Insight? There should be a slider switch with 3 settings on it. Maybe try putting it to the middle setting.

As the poster above me said, the switch on the dome light might have been moved out of position. If you have an EX model, the map lights do not turn on when a door is open.

It is an EX - and I think it is the map lights I am expecting to energize -
I will look further back for another light with a switch-

If the switch is set to the center position the dome light will come on when the car is unlocked, when the ignition is turned off and of course when the door is opened.

There is no setting for the map lights (spotlight in the owners manual) to come on under those conditions. The map lights can only be turned on/off manually.

Thanks guys - all set -
My boy moved the switch on the dome light - and to be honest I didnt even notice it there!
Keep focusing on the map lights - (with no switch)
Thanks again!

Map light can come on if you wire it to the dome light I have a LX without map light, installed map light myself, powered from the dome light, turns on when the door opens
