Default Day 1 New Crimson Pearl Insight

Just picked up my new base crimson pearl Insight and I just wanted to say count me in as a satisfied customer. Drove it home in ECO mode and have to say this is one awesome car. It has so far exceeded my expectations. Auto-stop was amazing. I expected more quirkiness and noise than I observed. It was very smooth and quiet. I really have nothing to complain about except I need to order mats and mud flaps.

The wife loves it as well, although she misses the manual transmission. For the first time in 36 years of marriage we have no MT. If the Insight offered a MT we would have bought it in a heartbeat. Love the color, a deep red, almost maroon. Very impressive. Also seemed roomier than I remembered as it was April when I drove one. I am very glad I did not bolt at the last minute to the Chevy Cruze ECO.

Thanks for all the useful information here. Even the dealership said that I was well informed. Much of the info came from reading here.

Welcome aboard.

Hopefully you'll end up like me and end up loving it more tomorrow than when you bought it.

Never had a car that I liked more as time went on.

Now it's time to clay & Zaino it!

Thanks. Scotchguard has been a ritual for many cars now. It doesn't leave the garage until all treatments are applied.

I have been eyeing a clear bra for a couple of days now. I have clients on gravel roads and as I was preparing my previous car for sale I noticed the nicks. Bad. Tell me. I know you are a handy guy, so did you get a kit and install it yourself or have it done. May I ask what you paid? Between mud flaps, mats, and a cargo cover plus possibly a cargo mat, I am quickly blowing my budget! Perhaps a BT radio with backup camera further down the road. Yet I will be keeping this car for a very long time, so any protective benefits must be considered. We generally keep them into the 100k+ range, which is why synthetic oils, protective treatments, etc. are all important to me.
