Default Goodbye Insight

Well,
After six months and 10,800 miles I traded in the 2010 Insight EX today.
It just wasnt for me.
The car did everything that I wanted too, but I just missed owning a truck.
Bought a 2011 F150 Extended Cab 4X4 w/ the new ecoboost motor.
I did get a solid $19,200 for it as a trade in, and still managed $5,600 off of the MSRP of the truck (including rebates)
Take care guys and enjoy!
Tim

Take it easy.

You should like the EcoBoost V6. It's one of the best engines that Ford has ever produced (IMO).

Default Best of luck to you

Enjoy the new MPG you are getting That is awesome that you saved $5,600 off of the new model. That will be two years of the gas savings you traded in I left my truck behind because honestly how often do you haul something or tow something? You could just look in the bed of the truck every time you fill up for a reminder IMO it is better to purchase a used truck for all those truck needs than have one as a daily driver if you do not use it. I paid $1,500 for my Toyota 4x4 work truck. But to each his own and best of luck to you.

Heard on the radio today that Ford's truck division in talking with Toyota. Perhaps an upgrade of the Prius technology to truck grade is in the works?

the new ecoboost 1l will be put in fords smaller frame global platform (just below the fiesta I believe) - it will be a 3 cylinder and produce power on par with a 1.6l naturally aspirated engine ... it should nipping at our heels in the mpg dept .... as for the toyota-ford hybrid deal ...
