Default Rear Fog Light

I saw a few Gen 2 Insights in Europe. This one had the rear fog light. Are these standard in Europe? I think they are mandatory in GB and the Scandinavian countries. What about the rest of Europe?

When I was stationed in the Netherlands and later in German, a couple decades ago, most of the cars had them. They were really needed for the morning fog.

I live in The Netherlands.
All cars (even imported) must have one rear fog light.
It is mandatory in all countries within the European Union.

Beside the rear foglight there are more exterior differeces from the US model, for example: it doesn't have (high-beam) DRL's and the side reflector from the head light unit is not orange but white (also not illuminated).

Funny thing about that rear fog light. There are times when it is so foggy that you really follow the light on the car in front of you and of course, slow down. Returning to Steenwijk one morning, I followed a driver into his driveway... My turn was still a hundred yards farther.

I wasn't aware of that. I lived in Italy for a few years until 2005 and I never knew. I drove a 1991 Innocenti Small and it did not have the rear fog lights. Maybe it's a new requirement.

The "Innocenti Small" (looks like a Fiat but I've never heard of it?!) also has a rear fog light.
Like most European made cars it has been integrated into the rear lights.
On the left side of the rear light there is a fog lamp, on the same place in the right rear light there is the reverse lamp...
