I filled the tank up, drove for a couple of days and for about 180km (112 miles) and then i heard on the radio about a fuel strike. The fuel indicator had only dived for a couple of tenths (since i drive very very conservatively lately) in its scale but i thought i 'd rather fill up anyway to be on the safe side. The MID showed i had another 762km (473miles) in the tank (i know, very speculative but for the time being irrelevant) and i went to the nearest gas station.
The guy there managed to squeeze another 6 litres (1.5 gallons) in the tank, paid and left.
To my surprise, the gas level indicator on the dashboard took for ages to climb back up to the highest point. This is very unusual as when i fill up it always goes up at flash speed.
What is more, the MID "km left to gas station" indicator did not change its proposal: it remained to 762km (473miles) to next filling up. Usually (always that is) it goes up to 860 (534 miles) after toping up an empty tank. I have to mention i have set the computer to zero all indications upon filling up.
All strange but for some reason i drove home, forgot about it.
This morning and after driving (same very conservative way) for about 50km (31 miles) the situation had not changed...still counting backwards from where it was before toping the tank up.
What on earth?
