Congratulations! Mind if I ask you for your initial impressions on the vehicle? I'm leaning more toward a 2012 Fit, but hearing that the 2012 Insight will have slightly more room in the back seat than before prompts me to take another look at it.

Welcome aboard.

We've had our I2 for 7 months now - still love it, a lot.

I actually have a 3 year old who is fairly tall for her age and has a large carseat - when I test drove it I put it in there (love LATCH btw) and there was enough room for her as well as the passenger not having to scoot the seat all the way up. The trunk space was actually quite roomy as well (especially since my previous vehicle was an '01 Jetta). I also leaned towards a new one - but the price tag/mileage on the 2010 was too hard to pass up.

I think that it drives and handles really well - I live in MI - so I am interested to see how it handles this winter. I've heard people say there is a lot of road noise, but if you have the stereo on - I don't think it's bad (especially since the speakers are good).

Overall I am very happy about my purchase. I work in an industry that deals with auto loans, so I was pretty hesitant on purchasing - but I'm really glad that I made the decision that I did.

In my very limited driving of it - so far my mpg is about 45

I hope they bring the Fit Hybrid to the states, that would be awesome! I love the fit my friend has one. They are small sporty and fun to drive... Congrats on your buy of the Insight! Should last you a long time!

I just bought a 2010 this week as well. It had only 7,600 miles on it and so far I love it. I was also deciding between a new 2011 Fit and the 2010Insight and both were selling at the same exact price. Its only day 2 so its probably normal but I feel like I'm obsessing over MPG and it's completely changed my driving habits. I almost wish you could turn off the color indcators on the speedo so that every time you hit the gas you don'tt feeling like your pouring through gasoline and killing MPG.

I will write up a more thorough one week review next week.

Cheers!

Congratulations. It is a great car. I also looked at the Fit and really liked it, but hte better mileage and slightly larger drivers seat area sold me on the I2. I have a 2011 and so far seem to average better around town than on the highway contrary to the EPA ratings. I live in the mountains of WV so that may make the difference on the highway driving. I am averaging 48 mpg so far since I filled up three days ago. That is all in town and to and from work while driving like my grandmother.

Keep us posted on how you like the car as the weeks go by.

Thanks for posting. I chose the I2 for the same exact reasons (although the Fit seems a bit easier to get in and out of and I like the dash layout better on the Fit) Overall I felt the I2 more comfortable and quieter inside.

I'm averaging 46 mpg so far in mostly city type driving (also like my grandmother - very funny comment!) Havne't been onthe highway yet but I suspect also it will be slightly less than city driving.

I'm thinking about upgrading the radio to somehting with Navi so if anyone can point to any threads with pics that would be great. I've searched but haven't found any thing yet.

Thanks
