We usually get around 43 MPG according to the display, overall. That's from mostly driving on the interstate between 70 and 80 MPH. It's not uncommon to see it hanging around 46 MPG sometimes when you throw in occasional trips through town. I can get it over 50 MPG if I take rural roads.

You can definitely hear the engine when you get the RPM's going. But, it's something I like to hear, rather than not. I guess I just like to hear what's going on. Others, not so much, evidently.

Heh-heh. I seem to remember hearing a variation of that phrase a few times from my parents while I was growing up.

That's great mileage, for sure a lot better than the Odyssey was ever going to give you.

I do alot of fishing and hunting and while the Insight was able to fit the gear it did fit better in a truck. I also like being able to haul things when I want - a tree for a the yard, a snow blower, ect.

What is really came down to is that the Insight did everything I had hoped, and got great miliage doing so saving me about 2000 in fuel per year.

But the savings just wasnt worth it to me and I wanted the truck.

This in no way knocks these cars, and I still love the look when I see them. The car was great, the only thing I didnt like is it was not a truck!
