Upgrade?

I recently purchased a new, 2012, honda insight, base model, no frills. I wonder how difficult and/or expensive it would be to have a better radio installed and if possible mount a steering wheel that has radio control on it? Anyone's advice and/or opinion on this matter would be appreciated, thanks.

Radio is easy and same as for any other car. Likewise for adding steering wheel controls.

There is a DIY for both here if you want to tackle it head on. I'd suggest upgrading the speakers myself if sound quality is the main issue.
