Not sure if we can give much credit to CNN's online news site for getting it right. Here's a list of their opinion of the 12 Most Disliked vehicles of 2011. It's interesting to look at the comments coming in because a couple Insight owners have already defended their cars.
Hopefully it works, if not just check CNN's business page. Oh, by the way, there were 3 Hondas on the list. They took it on the chin. Good thing that heavily biased CNN is a rag anyway. You'll notice other than the Volt they just slap around imports and niche vehicles.

Good one, PJ - I had missed that. Kind of shows as the publications or organizations become more technically versed, the cream will rise to the top.
I know Edmund's also rates the Hondas very highly for reliability. The only one to get a mediocre grade in the last 15 years is the Element, and it's days are numbered.
Heh. Yeah, it was a coincidence that I happened to have seen the C&D feature last night and your post this morning.
Good to know Edmunds rates Hondas highly for reliability. Doesn't surprise me. I have an '06 CR-V that I bought new and is about to hit 44,000 miles, and outside of a couple of minor recalls, it has given me no problems at all.
Yeah, I can't say the demise of the Element surprises me, either. I test drove one before buying my V, and it felt like I was driving a tank. It did sell, though I guess not enough for Honda to continue it.
Do you have an Insight? If so, are you happy with it?
Huh??? I've had total strangers come up to me in parking lots and compliment my Insight.
yeh. let's not forget the general is very out of touch with regular people...
most magazine/news publications i read i feel is written by very strange egomaniacs that rarely every do actual research and listen to people aside from their like minded peers
and to be fair i don't hate the prius either... the insight is just a much better looking car that price wise is more of a budget car then the overpriced prius
The car at the bottom, the latest Civic, Honda were affected by the Tsunami and the radioactive no-go area, their development facilities took a side swipe.

Civic at the bottom (top?) was kind of a surprise. I took a closer look at that list after I got home and the Volt is the only U.S. built car. Seems like we should take anything from CNN with a big grain of salt. Maybe change their handle to ONN, but I thought the prez was only running car companies and subversive socialist study groups.
Take a look at this same list of cars in 5 years and I guarantee they'll be at or near the top of their classes in dependability. What will be near the bottom? Chryslers and Cadillacs perhaps?
OK - so I was ready to let this thing die but we need one more piece of enlightenment from the mainstream. MSN has a "Best Cars of the Year", lo and behold, there's that pesky Volt again. And a bunch of those luxury models that crap out at 5 years or 80,000 miles.
Audi, BMW, Dodge, Ferrari, Mercedes. Hey, they're rattling off the bottom of the dependability list. Good for them, pick 'em like you see 'em, through dim, uninformed eyes. No Hondas, not even our buddies in Toyotaland got a nod. The Hyundai Elantra is probably the best thing on there. I know they're very dependable - I put 150,000 miles on one before joining my wife as a dedicated Honda driver.
Goes to show ya', some peoples taste ends in their mouth.
