Where did my charge go?
Ever turn your Insight off and recall the battery state of charge was at one spot, then the next morning or when you crank it up its lower? I too have experienced that. From what I can see the computer is at least 30 seconds behind from the actual status or delayed significantly.
Since I am running higher settings on my phev kit it will throw a code at slower speeds if the charging system isn't on. Since I haven't done much to search for the ELD to hot wire it, I use an electrical load most of the time to make it stay on.
Even then, its hard to get 100% soc if you abuse ev mode. So, what I have been doing is at work and home I park my car. I then key off an back on , but do not start it. I sit and wait for the battery to reach 100%. I then key off and go about my business to start off with a full charge.
