Default Got a service notice today about roof molding on my 2010 Insight.

It says the problem exists in 2010s and 2011s. Anyone else get this notice?

I recieved the same notice today as well. Are they going to fix the black rubber molding on the roof that keeps coming off every time I take it to the car wash? Or is the problem with the cloth on the roof (which is fine with my 2010)?

What's the deal with the cloth on the roof? This is the first time I've heard this.

I got the recall notice today for my 2010 Honda Insight. The roof molding hasn't come off my car lately, but I did have a problem with it before, when I brought it to car wash.

I got a note from the dealer to trade in on a newer car. Although Id love a ridgeline, I also like paying 20 bucks a week in gas to go 70 miles daily plus a few side trips.

I don't know of any issues as well. My Fiance looked at the letter and interpeted it as that was the issue. The letter does not go into great detail as to what the issue is, so I did not want to jump to conclusions.

I'll get this fixed my next checkup for the car. Yes the problem is these roof moldings arn't really attached very well and when that wind turbine in car washes goes on it'll throw them right off.. It's been mentioned countless times here. I took mine off and have been sitting in the back since my first carwash Glad they will fix it now...

I tried to copy and paste the TSB, but it wouldn't let me. It basically says to glue the strip to the mounting clips. Apparently the new roof strips have new, improved clips that hold better.

I called the dealer today and I'm bringing the car in tomorrow to have the roof moldings fixed.

Cobb.. I got the trade in note on mine yesterday (gonna hold on to her for a while since she's paid off and not costing me anything more than regular maintenance) and also got the recall notice about the weather strips today. I havent had a problem, but I'll have it taken care of anyway. If Honda's willing to fix this issue (and finally admit it's a problem) I'll let them fix it.
