Haha - funny guy At least I was by myself and had no injuries. It jumped the guardrail of a highway off ramp and I didn't have a chance to even try to avoid it. 3rd one I've hit since I started driving 25 years ago. The other two were back in Minnesota when I was growing up....they are everywhere up there!!! The insurance company is working on repairing it...but we think we're going to resell it anyways. Thankfully even though it's paid off we still had full coverage on it. It got around 37 on the highway and about 29 in the city...so the Insight will still be a bump up from it.

*Update*

The contemplation is over! We put money down on a 2013 EX in Milano Red today. After a little haggling we came to an agreement at $300 over invoice and even fell into a great interest rate. We haven't even seen the car as it's still in transit from the factory, but we've seen and test driven comparable cars and are happy with the specs on this one. Soooooo excited for it to arrive...December 17th can't come soon enough!

Now the next decision...keep the Civic once it's repaired as a back-up vehicle or sell it and pocket the cash

quadna71, I am in the process of acquiring a NOS (New Old Stock) 2011, with some 28 miles on it.

I am not concerned about model changes, they occur over time, all the time. I still get the original warranty and the dealer will install a new IMA battery, they said that Honda actually tells them to do so if the car is over 6 months old (and not used/sold by then). At the same time the car will get a software update.

With the original warranty, I am not worried about it. Well, I plan to lease unless I get a good finance offer. Then I can get the Honda 2-year additional warranty, that should do.

Greetings!

Took delivery on our Insight Friday night - had 3 miles on it! The dealer was about 80 miles away and even on the way back my wife netted 45mpg. Not bad considering the first 15 miles was just stop/go traffic in town. Can't wait to see how much it differs after we've got a few thousand on it.

Overall we are extremely happy with our decision to get the Insight over the Civic!

Congrats on your purchase!

What kind of tires do they come with now? No longer Dunlops are they?

Thanks. Don't know if it changes with packages, but our EX has Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 tires on 15" aluminum wheels.

Wow..... I like the new red better. The old one looks like a black cherry in sun light, burgdary in the shade.
