2006 going strong at 81,603 miles
My red Insight, purchased 30 May 2006 is still driving wonderfully and registering fantastic miles per gallon. So far I have replaced one set of tires, $420.00 and lots of synthetic oil and oil filters. I adhear exactly to the Honda schedule for maintenance and I'm agressive with keeping everything in good repair.
I communte 84 miles per day, five days a week. My fuel fill up is typcially just under six-gallons. The commute is entirely freeway, and at 56 mph. I follow the computer on lean burn and drive like it is a video game. Actually, lots of fun. Most days the trip computer confirms 80.4 mpg; a little less when I use the air conditioning in the ECON mode.
The paint is good, steering is tight and overall, the car is in very good shape. I keep the tires at 48 psi (yes, that's high). I am totally pleased with this hybrid.
