Default Battery Back-Pack

Alright, I know there are a lot of Battery savvy people on here so I figured I would throw this thought out there...

The other day I was mowing my yard with my electric mower. I have a pretty big yard and I only use the electric push mower for trim around trees and shrubs and other hard to reach areas where the riding mower won't go. So anyways, I use a total of 150 feet of extension cord to do this (And it still doesn't reach as far as I'd like).

As I was mowing I had a thought... How hard would it be to make a "back-pack" with some batteries and a converter so I can plug in the standard AC 110V lawnmower plug to the pack and be "cordless"? How much weight would you be looking at? How much cost? How long could I expect to run the mower on a charge? Etc Etc??

Its just a thought at this point, but it could be used for other plug-in electric devices such as weed trimmers and shrub trimmers, the list could go on and on. Perhaps it could even be commercially viable if the cost/weight could be worked out right. The neat thing would be that any electric device that uses a standard 110 plug could work with the pack (i.e its universal). Maybe somebody already makes one and I'm just stuck in a cave.

Any thoughts from the group?

classic case of inventing that which already exists.
Granted you COULD make a battery backpack to power your Lawnmower,
but we got one of these.
Neuton Battery Lawn Mowers -
Its good, light, easy to start, and gets about 45 minutes on a battery so we have one fresh and two kind of slipping.
They go like camcorder batteries.
But it is really really quiet, and light enough for a child to handle.
It could be wider though.

Oh look, these guys make battery backpacks ! Solar Backpacks, Inverters.
All the stuff you need. ( really not enough juice)

I've thought of that and it would be an option. But keeping in mind that I am a cheapskate and bought my electric mower used for $40.... The price on the battery powered mower is prohibitive. Plus the battery "back-pack" could be used for other devices.
