This explains why Toyota can sell the far superior Prius for such a tiny amount more than the Insight.

I never expected that from Toyota but, what the heck, this is the real marketing world, isn't it?
The problem is that this piece of information will not reach the wider public and evev if it does, marketing devils will make sure it is securely hidden under the carpet.

I noticed that noone bothered to note WHERE this story originated..

labor union magazine

anti-capitalism, anti-corporation, anti-western world lifestyle

Wake up folks....trust not all that you read!!

What is classed by the unions as slave wage may be, in China, considered better than living wage.....

Besides, should make you wonder where your Honda parts are made?????

Incase you couldn't tell by the excessive use of icons in my post, I was being sarcastic. I mean really if I believed everything that I read I would believe that a gen 3 Prius easily gets 9 MPG better than a gen 2 Insight.

Default prius article

It sad to hear this, I did't know Toyota had any such practices. Hope Honda isn't similar. If so, maybe we should all take a closer look at the American made Honda's and Toyota's instead.

You are right and, yes, we know what can be behind the curtain of such reviews. But that does not take away the fact that most companies worldwide DO prefer illegal miserable immigrants and domestic poor unregistered workers as cheap labour and work them to excaustion. Lidl does it, IKEA does it, the company I work for does it, why not a colossus such as Toyota or Honda? The shameful part is that Toyota is supposedly ECO friendly whilst at the same time forgeting that human souls can be part of a better environment too...

As someone who's worked for Toyota, I don't find this surprising. I just thank god everyday that I don't have to work for them anymore.

Hi,
My opinion is different ...
I think this would be done to effect toyota prius directly ....
I think toyota prius is more environment friendly car and should be kept to save environment....
Thanks
