Default cabin air filter

I saw this guide on youtube while I was searching for DIY videos. It is how to replace the air filters. I just want to know your opinion about it. Is it good and accurate? Thanks. here's the link: how to change cabin air filter

Note*
I'm sure this should be posted in different section, but the search for cabin filters lead me here!*

Anyway,

Took a few pics of the carnage:

and the OE filter (new) compared to a filter of unknown origin (dirty)

The old one has more pleats but it seems more restrictive too..

Please excuse my ignorant question. Where in the pic is the cabin filter? Is it on the upper right side?

Yea,
You kind of push/pull the harness out of the way...just enough slack and it slides right in like a home furnace filter.

Thanks for the pictures!

I came across this filter elsewhere on this forum: Buy K&N Air Filter For 2009 -2010 Honda Insight By K&N 33-2433 but am somewhat confused as to whether this is a cabin air filter or the engine filter. The K&N filter is attractive because it lasts a lot longer. At 18k miles, I'm due to change both.

Any information would be much appreciated!

Engine filter, I do not believe KN makes any high performance HVAC filters.
