Well, it's nice to see talented and skilled musicians get a little recognition. I first saw Jon play in a festival tent about 5 years ago. He blew me away then and I've tried to get to his gigs regularly. Lost count of the number I've been to since then and every single gig has been brilliant. I've got to know him to say hello to and he's a genuinely top bloke.

Very pleased to see, after several years of hard work, gigging and practicing he's finally getting some recognition. He decided to start releasing singles a few months ago and gathered a over a million hits on youtube. Cue a little attention from celebrities and musicians. A single word on Twitter from Stephen Fry (well known british actor, comedian and game-show host) and suddently the mainstream media's noticed him. The last few days have seen mentions in national newspapers and a national UK TV appearance on BBC Breakfast. Very odd to see him on the TV, when I'm used to sitting within a metre of the stage in pub gigs. Think I'm going to struggle to get that close in future.

I clicked this page yesterday but, since my internet connection is slow, didn't watch the video until tonight.

WOW!!!

My first thought while watching this was: he must not have had any friends (or at least any talented ones) when he was a kid, so he learned how to be a 'one man band'. As I listened to it I noticed what sounded like 2 guitars, a singer, drums, and a synthesizer. I had to watch it a second time to focus on the song itself... Just plain AWESOME!!! I'm intrigued and would love to see more. Very talented!!

Glad you like it. Been a brilliant guitarist ever since I first saw him but his voice has really come on recently.

His 2nd Album 'Don't Panic' is on itunes - better to buy music directly from jongomm.com - Home though as he gets a bigger cut. The first album plus more recent singles are available there.

I spoke to him before a gig a few months later and he gave me permission to upload it. Sound quality isn't that great but it's a nice memory for me
