YAY. I just took my first long road trip and whilst I was away, I got double leaves. I was averaging 55 mpg on the interstate highways. I love it!!
For the next part. Is it me or did my car when I hit double leaves become more strict on how it grades my driving? It seems that it is a bit harder to keep it in the green. I love that it is constantly evaluating me and helping me get the best mileage.
It took me about 5 thousand miles to get the trophy as I do 1 short trips a day of less than a mile for lunch and sometimes I leave it running for the ac on my passengers.
The green/blue indicator seems to be based on vacuum readings or load indication. I see when I had a full hybrid battery, I get on average half assist and can take it to 2 grand or so and stay green, when the hybrid battery is low or recharging it will turn a bright blue even at just above idle.
I accelerate based on traffic. If its a lot of traffic, yeah I floor it til I reach the speed of traffic and let up. If its empty behind me I keep it green when I accelerate. I travel i95 and i64 and people just fly down the road.
I use to do 70 all the time in my blown tacoma and was frequently passed by cops and prius cars.

You're not imagining it... Who ever thought we'd enjoy a judgemental car, eh? Good job on 55mpg!

I am glad that I am not the only one who noticed that. Before I got my I2 I used to drive like a bat out of hell. Now I am really glad that I have learned how to drive more efficiently.
Yes, it does get progressively harder to stay in the green with each level you get to. I just got my second trophy last week, and noticed with the third level it is even more sensitive and harder to keep it green. Glad I live in the country, because I have to basically slow to a crawl over hills if I want to keep my good mpg. I read that after the third trophy one must reset the game to begin again, but was wondering if it stays this sensitive for the life of the car if I don't.
Personally, I plan to drive with a little more oomph after this cycle, not with a lead foot, but try to take away a lot of the stuff I've learned by earning my trophies mixed with a return of some of the fun that this level takes away.
So, it does get harder? I have "won" the game 2 thousand miles ago, should I reset or leave it as is?
Yeah, I too have curved more of my driving than before. I use to think 2 grand, 25 hundred was a good rpm to accelerate, who knew its a load on most cars?
My scion was drive by wire and the cruse control was hyper sensitive and it seemed using it lower vs raised fuel economy.
