It wasn't on the lot; I had to order it. They were a low-production car so finding them on a lot was difficult. Honda clearly never intended to sell a lot of them because Honda did not produce many.

The Honda dealer I went to at the time wanted about $25,000 for them. This Honda was one of the biggest rip off places in the state, but it was the closest dealer I could find several years back until I moved.

I assume you aren't going to that dealer for your Insight-II.

Initially I tried dealing with the closest dealer but they jerked me around. So I went 70 miles and bought it from the Honda dealership I had dealt with before: Honda Autos of Westport, CT, who have been very straight with me. There are two more dealerships between the closest one and these guys.

This was many years back. This time for the Insight II, I consulted about 5 Honda dealers and went with one of the lowest bidders who could get me approved after my bankruptcy.
