GM Pulls Plug On Electric Car
As we reported in an earlier story, several manufacturers have pulled the plug on their EV programs in the wake of California's decision to rescind its EV requirements. CBS News ran a story yesterday examining GM's decision to end all EV1 owners' leases and quoted a company official as saying "it's time to move on." This clearly marks the demise of future commercial EV programs, as the first fuel cell cars hit the road.
