Talk about a coincidence.
Last year we had hybrid a gathering at my place. Lots of Insights, some Prius.
It lasted about 4 hours.
Roger Crier was exploring Google maps street view, to see where I lived, and found that the google street map vehicle must have gone by while we were having the gathering, as my driveway, and the area of my lawn near the road was filled with hybrids.
What are the odds that they would do the mapping during the gathering?

That is so cool...

Hello all!

If I2 owners are invited, I'd love to meet up with fellow New Englanders. I think there are a few of us in the I2 forum.

I'd think I2 is easily welcome.

The only questions are:

Weather or not a new get together works for enough people ?

Where to do it?

When to do it?

etc....

I live in an apartment so the only thing I could possibly offer is if the scheduling works to attend ... maybe a common location we could all gather at... then get a bite to eat together and stuff like that for however long.

OK, so let's first see how many people are interested and where we all are. I'm in Eastern Mass.
I'll post up in the I2 forum about this.

I live in Western, MA and would be interested in a day trip or something.

Maybe we can do a "drive" or something and take some pics of scenic New England, grab some lunch, etc.

I've seen maybe 5 insights in the last 6 months so getting some exposure for the I1-I2 in numbers would be fun and maybe generate some interest from non-hybrid owners.

Good idea! Is there a general New England hybrid meetup? I don't really use any other car forums, so I wouldn't know. Just thinking incase we don't find enough people.

Maybe we can initially meet up in like a mall or shopping center parking lot... that way there is no parking issue... and we can chat and stuff until we are ready to go off to grab some lunch or something... It might also get some attention if we gather a few Hybrids all together ... we might get some people stopping buy on their way to the mall.

I live just south of Providence RI... I would like it to be a reasonable drive... something like under 100 miles from me each way.

I would be interested. I live in the central Connecticut area. It would have to be on a weekend day though. I have an Insight II.
