Jime,
Thanks so much. Sandy in the copilot's seat barking (literally!) directions helped me out! I know that I was sweating from concentration once we got back. Did you end up going to Crazy Ray's and getting muddy?
Jim (06 Blue), I got to searching once getting home, and lo and behold, IC comes through again! Actually, retepsnikrep did... There are several videos available, including the ones we watched at freezin4's place here: Insight Technical Videos
I'm sure there's a better way of getting the link in here, but if you go to Insight Central: Honda Insight Forum > Hybrid and Alternative Fuel Forum > Insight and Honda News, you'll find a stickied thread. I'm going through all of them right now!

Default The classroom...

Well, here's a test of my "other site hosting" knowledge. This is a pic of the "classroom" where the knowledge was being dispensed during the meet!

Ok, so, here's a link to (hopefully) an album of the pics from the phone of the Mid-Atlantic meetup! A great time was had by all!

That was an outstanding day! Thank you again Jim (et al.) for all the effort you dedicated to this event.

So it's not too early to begin brainstorming ideas for the next meetup. We have discussed some already, and it looks like many would enjoy a tech event or two along with the social.

What about location?
Date?
Ideas?

Ill try my best to attend the next one. I care for my mother and no sooner she healed from breaking her left arm she broke her right one. I had to miss a few months of work for that.

Anyone is welcome to meet up locally. I hope to have preprogrammed chips for the odb2 cc meter for the insight as well as hch if anyone wants to play with it.

I'd be kinda inclined to go for a spring date, like early/mid May. The shelter we used last time was pretty convenient. Or, we could try some other venue, but need ideas. If we use a public facility, it takes lots of lead time on the reservation. The Frederick area looks pretty central, but other ideas are certainly viable. Our UK folks seem to make it largely social and I have no problem with that of course. Unfortunately, we aren't permitted to work on cars at most of the public venues. I just like to get together and talk Insights.

It looked from last year that folks vote "with their feet" after a day and an evening, so that would probably be a good guess. The MPG contest didn't appear to appeal much.

I suppose we could start a new thread and include a new poll on meetup format. That might be a way to get at folks preferences.

Just thinking out loud. I'm always happy to get together with insight folks and talk cars

hi JimE,

the contest was the main reason I wanted to be there at all.
Sadly for me, my days do not always go the way I plan them.
(I get help from many others also.)

I have a feeling that the same course can be used
with last year's numbers being comparable.
so the setup time may be reduced?

For my foreseeable future, two days on any one weekend
will be close to impossible.

I'd think a MidMayMidAtlInsightMeet would be do-able
in an attempt to avoid the June Crush?

Well, the course is reusable since everyone got lost anyway As you say, it is laid out already, so it is a doable.

How about this approach? 1. A May social morning in the park, lunch cookout, an afternoon Rally/MPG course, perhaps followed by a late afternoon/evening meeting for those who still have some energy left. 2. A tech session later in the summer where we can install some grid charging harnesses, do some troubleshooting, and go over the current charger/discharge state-of-the-art.

I like it. Plans are shaping up. Still time for more input and good ideas though.

Maybe I'll actually get to go this time!

I think all my wife's college friends MUST be married by now?
