I have looked for a replacement car show we could attend, apart from Glossop, but I am struggling to find one that isn't all about modified cars or classic cars. One of the good things about Glossop is its accessibility. That said, there would be nothing preventing us taking part in one of the 'Jap' car shows - there are two to choose from:
Jap Fest, Sat 11th May, Castle Coombe Circuit, Chippenham, Wilts OR Jap Show, Sun 30th June, Santa Pod Raceway, Wellingborough, Northants. As Mark suggests above, these shows are unlikely to be full of us nice Insight owners.
However I have been inspired by the photo of the CRX, CRZ and Insight in this article:
How about we get together with the UK CRX and CRZ Forums somewhere? I think the 3 groups may get along reasonably well. (P.S. Anyone know who owns that Citrus Insight?)
I am happy to go with the majority.

We could always see what Beauligh Motor Museum has on. I may even be able to arrange special parking due to my land speed record links, we have a pretty good relatonship with them. Likewise Coventry Museum of Transport.

Personally I think the more people the better this year, so I'm happy with any big car show as long as we can park together. I bet they will generate a lot of interest.
We can still keep an eye on our cars and take turns to wander off if reqd to look at the machinery.
I'll might bring the A123 powered HCH1 as a bit of a change
Isn't there a big show at newark as well?
Someone will need to e-mail/pm everyone.

I have had a look for a show at Newark and it appears that they have a Kit Car Show each year which fits us best. It will be on the 15th of June this year according to the Newark Showground website. The Kit Car Show website itself hasn't been updated with 2013 details but the list of car clubs that attended previously sound like we would fit in perfectly:
When we have decided on a location and date, I am happy to help organise / e-mail the UK Insight owners in due course.

The price of the carfest will put a lot of owners off I think.
It's £105 quid entry per adult for two days if you aren't camping! and £115 if you are.
I think we need to flag this thread up ASAP to all the past and present UK members so they can put there two pence in as well before we settle on an event/date.
