The New Insight Is Arriving!

Yeah it seems ludicrous the new Prius has improved in almost every area (faster, more mpg, lower emissions, lower CD, Beltless engine,etc etc ) over the current model and yet the new Insight has disgraced the name of the original Insight for the sake of a wider market.
If Toyota can make gains why can't Honda? What I mean by this is the New Insight should be an improvement over the Prius.
I personally think the instrument panel design is hideous, there’s blobs,circles,bulges and different levels all over the place. Neither do I like the new Prius panel for reintroducing the console just to place their drive by wire shifter on when it should remain on the dash, complete waste of space.

My guess is that Honda is pursuing the low cost technology approach, and that there are limits to what that technology can achieve. Would it be better to come out with a competitor to the Prius that costs $30k and gets 5 MPG more?
