NSX successor scrapped

Honda said it was trimming investment spending by 60 billion yen ($674 million) to about 650 billion yen ($7.3 billion) to cut costs during hard times, including scrapping plans to introduce the Acura luxury line in Japan by 2010. Plans to develop a successor to the NSX sportscar were also canceled.

In a time of financial crisis, it's certainly understandable to push the car back.

But to completely scrap the car after the years of speculation? I love Honda and I love hybrids but I love sports cars also.

In the automotive sector, they're putting all their eggs into the hybrid basket. A good idea, but they should keep the NSX in consideration also.
