Set 3 fastest stage times and were 4th from 13 Senior Formula 1000 cars. Beat all but 3 of 18 Juniors when they ran the same stages as us. Lithium 15ah Batteries and system worked 100% all day.

This car runs a 52 cell 15ah lifebatt lithium pack with a modified IMA for max power whenever throttle pressed more than 50% it also has the BCM fooler and BCM interceptor fitted. It can use an external zivan 3kw AC charger between stages or more usually uses a special forced charge tickover IMA mode.

Nice to the Insight do so well.

Great to see it haul in and pass the class leading nissan micras!!!

Superb to see it pass the BMW who dumps his in the tyres!

On the long Angelsey stages Paul reports that even the 15ah capacity of the lifebatt cells was taxed and assist was becoming limited at the ends. MIMA using using max regen was used between stages to force charge the cells. So looks a bit strange in the pits with a pit crew member sat in the car reving it up for 20minutes! LOL

Looks like they need an A123 20ah pack next!!

They could also do with 100A regen as the brakes started to suffer on the long stages and ofsetting a little more of the braking to capture more energy would be good.
