Honda have just released one photo of the production version of the Insight, see Top Gear link below:

Looks like it might cost about £15K in the UK.

Nice!

Slight changes to mirrors, grill, headlight and door handles as compared to the concept, and show model.

Went to the dealer recently to get my thermostat replaced, and the sales guy promised that the CR-Z would become available in October next year. He was happy to take a deposit from me. Haven't gone that far yet, but I promised I would get back to him.

Those hoping the CRZ will be the new MPG King might be disappointed as it appears the emphasis is going to be on 'sport'. At the end of a generally positive review of the new Honda Insight in the February issue of the UK Top Gear magazine, they finish with this statement (bold is my emphasis):

"Let's extrapolate to the 2010 CRZ hybrid, which'll have the same chassis and electric bits, but a 1.8 engine and a manual box in lighter, slinky two-seat bodywork. I'm licking my lips now."

Chris I wouldn't believe anything with the Top Gear label pinned to it. For a start they are most likely speculating and since they all have a lead right foot only see the 1.8 ICE as performance and nothing else.
It would never cross their mind there might be another reason for it,take the next gen Prius its up 300cc with better economy than the last.
Having written this however I am not optimistic, its just I can't stand Clarkson and his mottley crew and their attitudes, they preach the exact opposite of my beliefs.

Don't forget Chris met Mr. Clarkston in person. So his opinion may be a bit biased in tha reguard.

The CRZ by all accounts has not been planned as an high MPG vehicle. But its still not too early for Honda to nudge it in a different direction a la CRX and the HF version.
