Wasn't that clever? When it comes to alternative powertrains, Honda can now brag about America's first hybrid, first? retail sales of compressed natural gas car for sale with home refueling station, and now the first fuel cell vehicle sold to an individual customer.

A recent NYTimes review of the Honda FCX. Says there are only 20 others like it and it's worth over a million!

I'm curious as to how this family was chosen to get to lease the car.

Yeah I'd like to know too! I do remember hearing a while back they were looking for an individual customer to lease one to. I bet some of the criteria was they were close to a hydrogen refueling station. Plus the fact that they already have a civic GX probably was a factor, now they're a perfect poster family for their environmental image.

Being photogenic doesn't hurt, either. They look like they're straight out of a magazine ad... That blows my chances!
