Just wondered if you're the other silver Gen1 Honda Insight I see around Akron. I have a 2004 with license plate '4insite' and blue LED accents. I actually live around the Portage Lakes area but drive to Kent, OH for work.

Even though I'm going to wind up in a 15 year old Accord, I would rather not do the trade, but I think what I can offer you is a great deal. If you sell your CVT yourself you can have everything that I posted for 4200. That's like getting the car itself for under 2K. Of course the battery is marginal and pops 1447's and 1449's often. If you are not too far from Cleveland we can arrange to meet etc when you are ready since you are now in Michigan. There is no rush to sell though I would like to sell the car before the winter. I'm sad to see it go, but the time I need to take care of older family members is driving the decision. Feel free to call or email at waynetc@mac.com. Would you be interrested in a trade + cash? I have a 2001 Insight CVT Blue with everything working (AC too) and have been wanting a MT. It has 207k miles, just put a "new to me" CVT in 2000 miles ago and it runs like new. The doner vehicle had around 120k miles on it.

Car has a grid charger and generally is in great condition. It was a San Diego car up until April when I moved out to Michigan, still has never seen snow.

Tires will are starting to get low on threas but nowhere near bald. This car has another 100k miles on it before anything major happens. I've owned it for a bit over a year now and have put 20k miles on it. Since I've had it I've changed the engine oil/filter several times, air filter, engine coolant flush, serpentine belt, spark plugs, installed block heater, balanced the pack, and swapped in a new CVT.

Right now I can average around 75mpg city and 70mpg high with some crafty driving.
