    Hi, I just saw your message to me about the AVIC-D3. We had the work done by a place in Reseda, CA (if you're in SoCal, I'll forward you the info). They took out the center console below the stereo, cut it to fit, then fabricated a new sloped curve to make it look normal. I'll see if I have any pics (or take some) and post them on that thread you saw, but I don't know that it will help you much (unless you think you can do this work yourself!).

    It's really nice to have the double-din interface, and there aren't many other options, to be sure... but we've had a lot of problems with the Nav in this unit. It gets really lost sometimes, and there's something wrong with the programming, as it will make you get off & on the freeway for no apparent reason. Would be nice if Alpine made a viable system for these cars; I love the Nav in my Ridgeline!
