The whole story is shown in the thread "Turbcharged Insight". If you use the "search" function it will be shown. A "google" search with the same title will also yield the same results. There are also a few links with some pictures. I'm not a computer "whiz", (69 yrs. old) so I don't know how to post pictures or do all the "technical" things. There have been two other people who have turboed the Insight, their information can also be found on the above mentioned threads. Right now, I'm running 6psi. Hope this helps......The most important thing is that you will have to "modify your driving style"......Good luck.......Willie

Dan; All batteries deterioate over time. It's a chance you take. Is it a "time" thing or a "mileage" thing? I've checked his site and he appears to be upfront about his statements. His function is to sell you a refurbished pack (Thats what you get from Honda). I've been running with a deterioated pack for the last 40,000 miles and I just "keep on trucking". (Guess I need it replaced.?) If I relied on the IMA battery a lot, I would take a chance on getting the salvaged battery and then if it didn't work you could get it refurbished and still save money. 700 + 700? Also you are close enough to him that you could even drive to his place and have a refurbished battery installed on an "exchange" mode. (assuming you are going to pay someone to install the battery) It's your choice. He's new to the scene, but it seems he is trying. MY OPINION.....Willie

Willie, What is your opinion of the guy that says any IMA battery sitting in a junkyard is just that, junk, and will not work for long. NIIICE is at 349k miles and ready for a new battery, again. I found a 2000 battery that has only 16k miles on it, but I don't want to waste $700 if it just going to wear out faster than usual. What is your opinion of this guy's statements or of his reputability for refurbishing IMA batteries? - Dan dfiore@triad.rr.com
