I used those Scoshe speaker rings and they work great if you want a snap fit assembly. Mounting the speakers to them can be a little tricky, though and may require a few extra holes in the bracket, not the car.

I used shallow mount Infinity's and they sound great. The Db651s were on my short list as well and may go in the back this summer (I've only changed the fronts thus far). If you add insulation/dampening to the inside of the outer door skin as I did, the slim-mounts may be a better choice. There are others on the site that are far greater audiophiles than myself that may have better ideas though.

Thanks
Looking at the comparison, I can see that the Db651 may have a problem fitting behind the OEM speaker grills on the inner door panel.

Interesting..... I just posted them to a myspace account. Its really nothing new. Just showing how to remove the door panel, drill some holes, cut edge of speaker, etc.

Maybe if I sign into my acct it will restore them?

Default No Speakers in back?

I just got my 2011 Insight, and it doesn't appear that there are any speakers in the back doors, sound only comes from front doors. If this is the case, can I just get two speakers and plug them in? Hopefully they are wired for sound. Also, I need to know how to remove the door panel.

Default How to remove rear door panel

I searched all the threads and cannot find how to remove the rear door panel on 2011, all I found was on 1st gen. The only clue I found was the plastic cover on the inner part of the door handle area.
