Default wheel fitment question

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and my first post. I have a gray second generation LX and I love it, but I'm looking to upgrade the wheels. The steelies aren't really the type of look I'm digging right now.

I want to keep the OEM tires (175/65/15) and I understand that the standard wheel size of the Insight II is 15"x5.5". I've been looking around online for wheels to replace the factory steelies but the only alloy wheel sizes I've been seeing remotely close to the standard size is 15x6.

Can 15x6 wheels still fit the OEM tires? If not, I'm looking to buy factory EX wheels if anybody's looking to sell

Thanks a lot and I'm happy to be part of this community!

I wouldnt worry about half an inch. Make sure they are 4x100. Use tirerack to look at what is out there. Where are you? I wouldnt mind a steel spare.

Thanks for the answer! Yeah I'll definitely make sure they're 4x100.

I'm in Southern California, but as soon as I get new wheels I'll be more than happy to send you one of the steel wheels - just pay for the shipping.

Thank you again.
