Default Rear Licence Plate Lights

Hello,

I've just swapped out the low beam headlights for a set of Ring XenonMax+100 bulbs as I find the standard ones little dim on country roads after coming from my previous car which had HID lights. Not had a chance to see if theres an improvement until it gets dark tonight. The bulbs came with a free set of LED bulbs which from the pictures in the owners manual I would say are replacements for the rear licence plate lights. Has anyone swapped these out? In the manual it says to move the assembly to the right and then pull out. I can't get the assembly to budge at all and its one of those parts you don't know whether it needs a good shove but you're also afraid of snapping something at the same time. As I say they were thrown in for free so if I can't get them to fit its no big deal, just want to see what they look like as I know newer BMW's have LED licence plate bulbs and I think they look crisper

Thanks

Graeme

Just push the lense housing left or right depending on the side and pull down slightly. You need to have clean hands and they should pop right out. Then unclip the lamp holder from the lens and replace the bulb.

Thanks to you both - not had a chance to try again as it's dark when I get in on a night now and working all weekend so it'll have to wait. On the matter of swapping the low beams which is what lead me to have the free bulbs it's a little brighter but not brilliant. I now realise after a bit of searching which I should have done first that it's really that the aim is too low and that they need adjusting a bit higher. Nevermind even after I get round to adjusting I'm sure these new bulbs will be an improvement over oem

You got me beat, Ive only broke one so far. I did mines twice as the first bulbs were the pilot brand from pepboys and they did not last long at all.

Your Honda dealer sells LED bulbs? I thought they came with your HIDs?

I got mines online from an led supplier.
