Question Metra 40-HD11 - Blue Wire?

Okay I think someone has posted this *somewhere* on the forum, but for the life of me I can't figure out what to search for to get it to come up - perhaps I just dreamed I saw it. (hopefully not)
It seems the consensus is that the adaptor we need for our vehicle is the Metra 40-HD11, however the Metra 70-1729 wiring harness doesn't have a matching blue wire to attach, plus I have no idea what this wire is supposed to be doing in the first place... so - can anybody help me out as to where I'm supposed to connect it, as I am getting much worse radio reception from my radio now than I was before.
Thanks so much in advance for your help!

I have a 2010 LX if that helps -- from what I can see this blue/white wire goes nowhere but on the actual harness there is a blue wire nearby, but my only fear is that just color-matching isn't necessarily what I should be doing here and shorting something out.
Can anyone help me so that I can put my dash back together? I just kinda have the entire unit sitting up in the hole without having everything snapped in at the moment before I give up and just deal with not having AM/FM reception.

The Blue wire from the powered antenna harness should be connected to the remote turn on/power antenna/amp turn on lead of the new head unit, it will sufficiently power the antenna booster; IF you don't have one of these connections, splice into the 12 volt switch on the ignition not the 12 volt constant/memory.

This applies to all newer Honda models.

Thanks so much for the response - can't wait to open my dash back up so I can try this out!

I really do share your pain, because I looked everywhere trying to find an answer. Good luck, and congratulations on getting your upgrade working properly.

Sorry. I finally got my oem antenna back in service using the same adapter. I got it hooked to teh antenna lead from my head unit. Its a blue wire as well as the remote wire for the amps. BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!!!!

Of all places I ended up ordering it from a construction equipment company out of NY. Why they were selling it beats me. I know it was hard to find and everyone who I went to place an order said it was sold out and would take months to get in.
