Default Seat Heaters--Help From UK Owners (or anyone else)

I'm looking at installing seat heaters in at least the driver's side of my I2. AS for the passenger side, I'm curious where the heating elements are (i.e. the seat back, the seat bottom cushion, or both). In the HCH II diagrams it only shows a bottom heater cushion in the passenger seat, presumably since the occupant detection sensors are in the seat back. Can anyone from the UK provide feedback on your seat heaters, or has anyone installed them over here yet?

As a note, I have the Clazzio seat covers. I'm debating whether to install them between the Clazzio covers and the OEM seat or tear into the OEM seat material and go all the way down.

Mike

Curious, Cause I just received a seat heater from my wife for Christmas? How hard to install under the factory seat cover?

Typically its a butt heater, but they call it "seat" I guess for PC\Poltical Correctness. Ive used oem as well as those aftermarket STRAP ON heaters.massagers. Since this car is effected by power orheat use I just drive bundled up.

My Tacoma had Recaro seats with heaters and within 15 seconds they were warm. I seldom wore a jacket driving it.

Did they offer this for the Fit? That would be my first start.

Here's a link to a DIY for the Civic hybrid seats, the I2 seats do appear to be of similar construction. I've found a few good heater sets for $70-100 I could use.

This person did an excellent DIY, thanks Mike (Navguy12)!
