Default Power Outlet

Is there a way I can get power to my power adapter (to charge a spare cell phone battery) when the car is not running. The outlet loses power when the key is not on. Thanks!!

The car doesn't have to be running but the key has to be in the ignition turned to allow power on.

I should have been a little more clear. I would like power to the power adapter for when I turn my car off and go into a store or work.

I don't know of any way to do that with the Insight.

Go old school! Run a new fused line power source to your 12V power outlet from the constant power side of the ignition switch or the fuse panel.

Fine-Print Disclaimer PS: I am not responsible for your electrician skills (or their lack of), and catching your car on fire.

Good luck!
