I think its a scam. If Honda could have optimized the engine to have more output AND better fuel efficiency using the same octane grade they would have done it already. Also, that website doesn't have data to back up their claims.

It is the same old mod that connects to your IAT sensor and fakes the ECM into thinking it is cold and the ECM just sends a richer mixture to the fuel injectors....

These are scams....Usually the heart of this thing ends up being a single 5 cent resistor....This one has a few more circuits and looks fancy but it does say that it connects to your IAT sensor so it basically does the same thing with an adjustment knob (varies the fake temp sent to the ECM).

Waste of $70.00 (IMO)

With a normally aspirated engine, you can diddle with fuel delivery and timing. Most car's engines are pretty optimized for optimal power. With a turbo'ed engine, a chip can command more boost (spin the turbo faster), and compensate with fuel delivery and ignition timing. So you can potentially get a lot more power out of a turbo'ed engine. But you are really taking a chance on engine, turbo, and drivetrain longevity. Is it worth it?

Default Do not mess with what you do not understand

i knew a guy had a suzuki trooper, decided to put in a varistat so he
could lean out the mixture, did great for increasing efficiency until the head melted.

you could incrase performance by adding in more IMA, but, the battery may not handle it well
