Default premium gas lasts longer?

premium gas = more mpg??

wouuld it be worth it to use premium gas?

Its not the grade, but the tier. With top tier you can get triple digits, LOL. Just kidding. Now ethanol content does play a role. Washing your gas helps to remove that.

If its knocking and retarding the timing case of gas grade, then going up a grade will help. Ive tried mid and preminum. I want to think with mid grade it kept the rpms lower when accelerating. With preminum I saw or could tell no effect.

A few people have said that they have gotten minimal MPG improvement but the amount of improvement was ripped apart by the increased cost of buying a higher octane fuel. No reason to do it.

The only difference that you really need to consider is ethanol content. If you can buy gas without it, that will provide a real boost to your MPG. ...In my area, it costs more than its worth because the stations I normally buy from give me 10 cents off, so I can't justify the 20+ cent premium for ethanol free gas, not to mention the extra trip distance to get to the station that sells it in my ethanol mandated state. Things might be different where you are.

ive bin using mid gas from arco since i bought my car

never ever tried premium, or a diff brand
