Default tanabe df210 or nf210?

Hi everyone, Ive been mia for awhile now since i didnt want to spend any money on my car...but now that gas prices are rising again and my mileage is suffering i only get like reallly low 40's...while i was getting mid 40's

so I was thinking of lowering my car since I have heard it helps gas mileage. so i was wondering do you guys think lowering your car was worth it? and how much more mpg did you guys get?

and now that they have both the df210 and nf210, which do you guys recommend?

oh and im running the honda fit sport rims. there 16's with 185/55/16 would i rub if i lower my car?

It appears that Tanabe has or will have coilovers for the I2

see

Tanabe USA R&D Blog | Honda Insight Height Test

I could not find anything on this in their product list for the I2. Perhaps others know more about this "new" product.

More on the Tanabe Coilovers for the I2 and CRZ (which apparently have compatible suspensions for the same coilover)

Maybe they sent him the wrong springs? The lower the better is my understanding. Maybe they did not isntall them correctly?

My parents live in a rural area and I help them shop for a month at a time. My car regardless of model is always loaded so it sits lower. On the steady ride home all my vehicles seem to get better fuel economy. According to an engineer friend of mines he saw a lower car poked a smaller hole through the air. So, less air under the car and wind resistance.

My assumption was that the firmer springs allow you tot ake on and off ramps at higher speeds, so you tend to coast more and conserve more energy when merging.

My next mod is to get some rain gutters, cut them diaginally, then mount them under my front to further restrict air movement under my i2. Ive attached yard edging to the bottom of my geo metro bumper edge and it helped me to get over 50mpg in that car.
