Default Leather wrap for I2

I was looking at getting the leather steering wheel wrap for the I2 and realized that they didn't have an option for the shift knob. Looking at the newer model Fit's, it seems to me like both cars share the same shape/size shift knob. Does anyone know if the Fit leather shift knob wrap would work on the I2? And also, to anyone that has installed the steering wheel wrap, i was wondering if you liked it. Thanks for any help!

Welcome aboard.

Ive read where other owners have used the fit shift knob and fit cf steering wheel insert. Cant comment on the wrap from Honda, but i have used ones from the auto store for 5 bucks.

I have the steering wheel wrap and I like it. I also have the leather shift knob I got from Japan and it is very nice. If you do a search I have pictures posted for both.

Thanks guys! And blotbacker, not to be 20 questions, but can i ask where you found the jdm door sill covers? And did you put the stearing wheel cover on yourself or did the dealership do it? Just asking since its has a "glove like" fit. Thanks again.

I had relatives that lived in Japan and I had them get the door sills and shift knob for me. I installed the steering wheel wrap myself. It wasn't too hard there are some adhesive strips on the inside of the leather that keeps it in place just make sure you line up the stitching. It comes with directions just be patient.

I installed my steering wheel wrap a couple of days ago. The install wasn't too bad, but I had to improvise at the end because I didn't have enough thread left to make it meet up with the starting point. This was due to the Honda instructions showing a deceptively long amount of extra string left over. My advice would be to leave yourself about 3 inches of extra string sticking out at the beginning point.

That being said, I love the wrap. A bit more to grab onto, and a nice feel.
