Default Where is the Kickplate on the Insight?

Looks like Honda skimped on the kickplates on the i2. (possibly to reduce weight or cost?)

Whatever the reason, I need a kickplate of some sort. My kids always seem to step on the painted area of the door sill.

Any of you know if any third party even makes kickplates for i2?
Any DIY solutions out there?

Thanks.

Welcome aboard.

Little confused, are you talking about door sils? Where is the part normally located if the i2 had it?

Yes, the long plastic strip that usually cover the door sills.
I wasn't sure what it's called officially...

The i2's door sill are bare, and I wish there was something there for protection.
Because the kids step on it all the time with dirt or gravel on their shoes...

The easiest solution would be to install the "anti skid" tape that is used in bathtubs to prevent slips. Easy to do and inexpensive.

I think the Japanese market has door sils, but for the Americans we have to use some heavy vinyl or skid tape.
