Metra Steering Wheel Control Interface

Been looking into finally installing my AVH-5200DVD that I had installed in my Jeep Commander. I remember reading on the forums that details on a steering wheel interface was still a little murky and that there wasn't one currently produced.

I was cruising the Metra website, punched in my model info and was pleasantly surprised with the following:
ASWC Interface

"Universal" and is apparently able to be flashed with new firmware.
Thoughts?

For real? What year car are you installing this in?

If I followed the thread correctly the issue is that Honda left out the wires from the clock springs to the head unit. They did include the wires from that part of the steering wheel to the clock spring. The solution was to follow a diy on honda fit freak site and run the wires yourself.
