Earlier today in the I2 General forum in a reply to a different thread I noted that I drove from WV to SC and back over the past few days.
I put Zaino products on all the windows of my Insight, minus the front windshield. Z2, Z6 -- even the Zaino car shampoo has UV blockers in it.
Didn't get a sunburn and my arms were exposed to the sunlight most of the way down and most of the way back.
No tint. No sunburn. Love it! And I'm sure the paint appreciates the UV protection too. 7 odd hours with my left arm exposed to the sun, no burn. Zaino no doubt makes a good looking car look even better, but nobody talks about the UV blockage which goes unnoticed.

We did our annual retreat to the southern tip of WV (Myrtle Beach) like everybody else in this state does.
Had fun in the ocean and hit up our regular destination places and even made a new one this time around to put on the list of things to do for 2012.
But I tell ya what, I sure don't miss the 10+ extra degrees. I just don't like 97F no matter how you slice it. I prefer temps not to get above the high 80's preferably.
I lived in data centers for ten years with 67F temp. It gets high 40's on winter days and I'm like alright it's time to break out the shorts.

I have to confess I'm a bit confused by your statement that Zaino prevented you from getting a sunburn. I'm of Irish decent and will burn without protection in 30-45min (depending upon latitude -- it was 35min in SC where I grew up). I've done a number of cross country marathon drives (from before dawn to after sunset) in 4 separate vehicles, in full sunlight. None of those vehicles had tint and they certainly didn't have Zaino applied. I never got burned.
If you are curious, the vehicles were a '95 Elantra, '02 Elantra, '02 Insight, and an '05 HCH.
I'm of Irish descent also. I can tan, but I'm a lot more prone to burning, especially the wife who is a redhead. I just have red facial hair, etc.
The only window in the Insight I bet that has 100% UV filtering is the front windshield. Not even the 2010+ Prius models have 100% UV filtering on the side and rear windows, I would venture to bet the Insight is about the same.
Take a look at this I dug up of someone who tested the windows of the Prius.
Being a cheaper car, I wouldn't be surprised the Insight's UV protection from the side windows is around the 85% range which seems to be common, lower than the Prius. But I cannot confirm that.
They all filter them, but not all are 100% effective.

I have driven and owned cars with professionally tinted wndows and those tinted with film from walmart. The only tanning/burning I have is from my fingers and knuckles as the windshield is unfilmed.
I drove my buddies geo metro a few weeks ago that has no tint. I felt like I was standing in the direction of an IR heater.
