Id look for a fit or crz kit. Most performance shops can make something for you.

Holy crap, thats for the I2. Id go for it. Super has less plumbing than the turbo. Make sure to get it tuned. They may need to turn off the ima system to get an accurate tune.

Super Charger and Turbo Chargers are different. I know the answer, but I can't explain it very well.

The difference is when the power comes in. A super its on tap at any rpms. The turbo it comes in as the car is under a load and as rpms climb, With compound turbo setups and those with variable geometry this lag has been removed, but is that what your kit would contain?

Id go with a super myself. Since I got the phev kit I am happy and really not in the market for forced induction.

I hear that superchargers are powered by the battery, whereas turbochargers are powered by exhaust pressure. Hence turbochargers require high revs to build up that exhaust pressure to drive its turbine, but advantage being that the pressure is more or less free.

Typical dyno results for a supercharger show a smooth power curve throughout the power band.

Turbochargers typically show increased results the higher the RPM is.

One thing people often complain about turbochargers are that they have 'lag,' and this is one reason why there are twin-turbochargers to help remedy the problem.

Some people slap on a huge single turbocharger and have tremendous performance results (assuming it has been tuned appropriately) in the upper RPM power band, however, putting around from here and there (i.e. around town) it's not uncommon to hear of these people complaining about lag.

However, superchargers are not without fault. Superchargers are just an extra accessory that needs turned by the engine. However, considering they provide additional HP, smoothly throughout the RPM band, it's essentially irrelevant. The point is, turbochargers don't need cranked by an engine.

It's basically a pick your favorite poison sort of thing.

I would love to see someone add the Rotrex to a Insight.
