I just refinanced my Insight, so now I'm gonna have some extra money I can use for upgrades/mods. I got about $1200, and I'm not sure of the best way to use it. I've already swapped out the stereo, added LED lights and removed the rear wiper, all easy things to do on my own.
My first thought was to get a detailing and clear bra, to protect and fix up a few small battle scars. Also to pick up some tanabe NF210 to add a little overall flair to the car.
That'd be great and all, but I'd also like to do something to fix up the "squirrelly" feel of the ride, especially on the freeway, like wider tires/rims or something like that. Just unsure of my options or what would help. Any advice is appreciated.

@Stone: what did you use to "cap" the removed rear window wiper driveshaft?
How do you like the Infinity 6032's? I'm thinking of picking up a set to replace a blown factory speaker. I have factory rears installed, too... where did you install the 6030's and 6032's (front vs. rear). Where did you mount the tweeter?
Do you have any pics of your custom sub-box & amp install?
Docrings, to cap the hole from the wiper I used small metal cap I got from home depot, I found it in the section with lots of cabinet hardware and such in small drawers. It was either 1 1/4,1 1/2, or 1 3/4 inch in size, but I was so inexpensive, you could get all three and see which fits best. There is a forum post in the mods section about it, with a picture of the cap from home depot. It comes bare metal, aluminum I think, just spray painted and clear coated it to match the car.
As for the Infinity's, I had the 6030 set left over from my old jetta, and since they are 2-way speakers, I put them in the rear doors. I picked up the 6032 component speakers from Amazon on the cheap. I had them installed professionally, the tweeters are in the dash where the factory tweeters were, and i also had the doors lined with dynamat. I would have probably bought something a little better than the refferance infinity speakers if I hadn't already had a pair from my last car, I wanted to keep the sound consistent. I like them, they are great speakers, and better than the stock for sure, but I feel like their highs get too sharp and the mid range can get muddled at high volume, but it could be the music I listen to, a lot of rock and metal. Overal, I'd say a B+ speaker at an A+ price.
When I'm done making a few more changes to my Insight I'll post some pictures probably!

If you go to Lowes, they stock the plug in a drawer in the hardware section. It is made by The Hillman Group. They have drawers dedicated to The Hillman Group. Take a picture of the plug with you. Measure the hole. I thought it was 1 1/4 but I might be wrong. This link to a plug will get you real close.
