is it the sensors??

i noticed how eveytime when i pullout from a semi-high driveway with my foot floored all the way on the gas pedal, the car doesnt respond for just a few seconds, then ill give me its best torque(secs are crutial at this moment)

reason i floor is oncoming traffic ! and i feel like i cant rely on my I2 sometimes

so as im learnin about suspension and sensors i came out with a myth

the sensors on the suspension (as im coming out the driveway in a "fast" way) tell ima the car is handling weird so ima takes over the I2 and shuts of torque for a few seconds so car "regains control" the gives the control back to me


sensors are supposed to help the driver gain/maintain control on dangerous situations so i think everytime i do this the car thinks im in a dangerous situation



any thoughts??

The prius 3 has the logic in its system to disable regen braking if the abs or trac sensors are triggered. I am sure the Honda has a similar setup. Since the IMA assist is so variable, I am sure they just hush it so they can predict what the ICE is going to put to the ground.

Also, it seems the Insight has what they call a dead petal.

When I need to pull out in front of semis across 4 lanes I shift to sport, turn off eco and make sure the ICE is running before I go for it.
